THE WITCH LIST : 7 KickAss Women To Admire On The Internet

1. Kris Carr, THE Kris Carr of Crazy Sexy Life, is an inspiration to many a cancer surviver and to those of us who are interested in cancer prevention, radical health, and what it means to live a crazy, sexy, life.

On Valentine’s Day, 2003, she was diagnosed with a rare & incurable stage 4 cancer and has since gone on to produce a fabulous documentary about that experience (recently featured on Oprah's "Super Soul Sunday"), write three popular books, including NY Times Best Seller, Crazy Sexy Diet, become a contributing editor to Natural Health Magazine, find the man of her dreams, get married & move to a charming farm in Upstate New York.

How's that for inspiration?

2. Erika Napoletano is a writer and, in her own words, a "disruptive presence" & "devil’s advocate". Consistently striving to say what others won’t & don’t (but should) about marketing, social media, business integrity & life in general, she’s the author of The Power Of Unpopular, a columnist for Entrepreneur Magazine, and the bitch-slapping creatrix behind RedHeadWriting.

She'll expand your mind & have you laughing coffee out your nose in one fell swoop, while her blog is a goldmine for anyone looking to do biz on line.

3. Cassey Ho graduated with a degree in Biology from Whittier College in 2009 but then decided to stir things up by NOT pursuing medicine, the path predestined for her by her parents. Instead she chose to go her own funky way by launching her own brand of fashionable yoga bags, oGorgeous, becoming a pilates instructor and starting a new fitness trend called "POP Pilates".

She's got a fantastic personality, abundant energy, and a truly kickass BLOG.

4. This entry is the wild card here & a bit of a mystery. I don't even know her name, but I find her inspirational none the less. I suppose, at the risk of sounding a little too "woo woo", I resonate with her essence, which magickally comes across in both of her well-edited blogs, Moon To Moon and What The Moon Saw.

If it's true that a picture is worth a thousand words, four years of active picture-posting must be worthy of a saga and, with that, she inspires. She does add a bit of text about her life to the occasional post, and what I gather from that is that she seems to be a spiritual woman with a deep connection to the natural world & a love of mysticism. I know that she's a feminist & a nurse and that she balances the stress of her chosen profession by escaping into nature.

Witchy, indeed!

5. Jill Nystul aka Jillee of One Good Thing is a woman who bravely shares her addiction recovery story, warts and all, on her about page, while her blog provides a daily dose of sunshine, usually a clever How To. It really gets the creative juices flowing and is a simple, inspiring example of taking life one day at a time.

Jillee's recipe for Homemade Coconut Milk Shampoo is what drew me to her fantastic site & her heart-felt backstory is what had me coming back for more.

6. "Hi, I'm Georgina of Cupcake's Clothes! I'm a fat, 22 year old girl from England!" That's how this kickass woman introduces herself on her style blog, where she features her adorable self in all her more-to-love glory, modeling her latest ensembles and proving that beauty comes in all shapes & sizes.

She also represents the power of Self Love & embracing one's own unique self with statements like this... "My confidence has grown tenfold over the past year, just by posting photos of myself & showing off my outfits."

Check out one of her quirky-cute Nail Art Tutorials & I double dog dare you not to smile!

7. Amber Krzys of bodyheart is devoted to helping women celebrate their bodies and is on a mission to liberate women from their "body-punishing prisons". She started bodyheart bootcamp, an 8-week online program for women who want to end their own internal war and finally feel confident, beautiful, alive & ready to thrive, when she realized she was in an abusive relationship with herself and didn’t want to live that way anymore.

I stumbled upon bodyheart last month at a lecture given by Gabrielle Bernstein & Christine Arylo and was smitten with a line of women with hearts painted on their faces, waiting to have their picture taken for Amber's bodyheart campaign.

So, I got in line & had my picture taken, too...
