The Weekly Witch Review #3 : Shailene Woodley, Dream Telepathy, Native American Healing, Crow Magick & More!

TGiF WiTCHES...

Welcome to the latest edition of "The Weekly Witch Review", a kickass guide to all things new & exciting (or at least new & exciting to me) on the wonderfully wacky world wide web...

Fuck You, I'm A Witch! A friend just tipped me off to these amazingly awesome laugh-out-loud statement t-shirts.

Aaah- the artsy, bohemian life of an artsy, bohemian woman... Isn't it fun to get a little peek inside other people's homes? Especially when those homes are as deliciously eclectic as designer Emily Katz's Portland abode...

Shailene Woodley's got a super rad hippie witch vibe going on. It's exciting to see a young up & coming movie star spreading the word about groovy nature-oriented spirituality, environmentalism & self-care. This woman is so totally herself in a sea of red carpet carpies who so totally aren't.

This is not even close to being new, but it is new to me & I love it! This video traces women's changing role in society and how that is reflected in the depiction of witches in the mainstream media.

I am a person who has experienced quite a few prophetic and lucid dreams, both of which I did a lot of experimenting with in my 20s. I would sometimes shuffle a deck of cards, for example, and, without looking, flip one over and leave it on top of my armoire then try to give my subconscious the command to astral project out of my body while sleeping in order to float up, read the number on the card and report back to me in the morning- all to no avail. LOL. Still- I remain intrigued and apparently I am not the only one. Check out these new studies being done on dream telepathy.

If ever there were an excuse to over-adorn yourself with bindis & gold body paint, it is festival season, which is happily in full swing now! Spell & The Gypsy Collective offers some groovy visual inspiration for getting your Rock & Roll on...

This post on Willow Rockwell epitomizes what I would like to see happening more often, and that is witchy women & men who show up for life, in the work force, at home, at school, in politics, and in art & fitness as healthy, happy people with an extraordinary zest for life... 30 Magical Fitness Tips From A Witch.

I have a thing for crows. They're just so smart & loud & they live in my neighborhood. I even had one follow me on my morning walk once, which was beyond cool! Shortly thereafter, I picked up a copy of Gifts Of The Crow (the Audible version) and was delighted to learn how clever crows (& all corvids) are. You can get a fairly decent idea of what I'm talking about here by checking out this fascinating post on ravens.
