Invoking The Gods Of Magick Using Physical Commands + 8 Kickass Quotes For Working With The Language Of The Body

Grant Morrison (comic book writer, playwright & occultist) once gave a talk at the Omega Institute that blew my mind for a number of reasons.

One of those reasons is the way he explained how most ancient cultures the world over have worked with the same archetypal energies again & again, even though they go by different names from region to region, because what they were really doing is personifying basic human personality traits and elevating them to the status of gods.

The cool thing is that these archetypes, which roughly translate into 6 distinct personalities like The Bully, The Leader, The Joker, etc., will emerge in any group you throw together for a concentrated period of time- regardless of what role each was playing beforehand.

So- whether you isolate a group of 6 bullies or a group of 6 jokers, they will still arrange themselves into these 6 default personalities. It's basic human nature.

This, to me, says that all of these energies are available to any of us any time. We can call on them at will- like a wardrobe of personas to suit the unique needs of any given situation.

Can you say... Invoking The Gods???!!!

Obviously, invoking these energies with firm, decisive language is the witchy standard, but so too is the use of physical gesture.

You don't hear people talk about this too often, but I think it's a conversation worth having, so let's have it!

Place your hands on your hips, legs shoulder-distance apart, stick out your chest and declare...

I AM A SUPER HERO!!!

And then- of course, watch this video...
