I made this video over the weekend, and I am looking forward to making many more. It's a subject that I enjoy and a lifestyle that I find playfully entertaining yet profound.
There is no need to take ourselves so seriously or to fuss too much over where we think we should be in our lives by now. The journey is the destination, so we might as well have some fun along the way!
"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind." - William James

And- here is the first video that I did on this subject...
Joanna this post really resonated with me. I've struggled with mood swings for so long, but like you I've done the work, I've faced my shadow, I've been the phoenix rising again and again, but I keep having these mood issues. I know that my diet needs to change... but do you think it would really have that big of an impact on the moods? I'm going to start making small changes and see what happens. It would be amazing if I could get a grip on this part of me. Great post!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! I really REALLY do! If I am at all religious about anything it's diet. I so wish someone had helped me with it when I was young- would have saved me so much trouble & time. BUT- I believe things happen for a reason, so maybe I was meant to go through that crazy long process of discovery so that I could share what I learned with other people. I like to think so.
DeleteIf you want to try messing with your diet to see if anything works, I recommend cutting out processed foods & sugar first. Try eating a diet of whole, nature-made foods- you can cook them- I'm just saying avoid anything that looks like it came out of a lab or a factory. Grains & gluten in particular can wreak all kinds of emotional havoc, so maybe keep that in the back of your mind as well?
MUCH LUCK & LOVE to you, Lenora -xo
